Novak Djokovic is already dominating the tennis industry with his amazing collection of Grand Slam trophies. This talented Tennis player has been ranked No. 1 for a record total of 390 weeks and also finished the year-end No. 1 record for seven years.

This time, he amazed the audience by raising his hands in the air before falling to his knees while sobbing. It’s because Novak Djokovic won the 24th Grand Slam on Sunday, September 11th, against Daniil Medvedev 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3 in the US Open Final.

But even after achieving this much success, why are people hating this man?

“If I Wasn’t From Serbia”: Novak Djokovic Expresses Amid The Hate

Novak Djokovic is already the talk of the town about whether he should be the “GOAT” (greatest of all time) of tennis. In a recent video from X, Novak was seen wearing a T-shirt referring to the late Kobe Bryant.

This Heartfelt tribute has already won many fans’ hearts, making him the most humble person. Some fans also claim him as the “Goat” of tennis.

The 36-year-old is on the verge of being the Goat of the tennis industry. Some people think he shouldn’t be the GOAT and claim the title should go to Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer. When interviewing Novak Djokovic about the title, he said, “My biggest goal for 2023 is winning title with Serbia, then I’m done with season.”

Novak thinks his country is the reason he is not getting enough media coverage. Following the question, he also said, “If I wasn’t from Serbia, I would’ve been elevated to heaven, in the Western world. But, it’s part of my journey, I’m grateful that I’m Serb, it makes everything sweeter!”

Is The Grand Slam Record The New Step To Become The GOAT?

Now that Novak Djokovic has earned the newest Grand Slam Record, it is still a formality for him. He expressed to the ESPN journalist, “24 records would mean a lot, like 23 meant a lot.”

Further mentioned, “I am really happy with my 23 titles, but of course, I want more.”

But only winning Grand Slams is enough for Novak to win the title of GOAT? Let’s See!

When we add up the number of grand slams, we also have to see who was on the opposition team, what the advantages were, and many more things. For example, since 2019, Novak Djokovic has won eight grand slams but the competitors were weak. At that time, Federer was too old to play at his best, which meant Novak had the chance of winning the game by up to 80%.

Maybe that is why haters hate his success because Novac’s competitors were weak and he had some physical advantages.

But that doesn’t; mean his Grand Slams were worthless or don’t count. It’s just that people need to analyze the environment of the game before giving someone the title of Goat.

What do you think? Should Novak Djokovic get the title of greatest of all time? or should it be someone else? Let us know in the comment section!
