Michael B. Jordan will not only reprise his role as Adonis Creed, but he will also be back as the director in the upcoming Creed IV, according to movie producer Irwin Winkler.

“We are planning to do Creed IV right now. We have a really good story [and] a really good plot. We got a little delayed because of the strikes, but about a year from now we’re going into pre-production […] He will be. He did such a great job — he was comfortable with the camera.” revealed producer Irwin Winkler, that Michael B. Jordan, who directed Creed III, is returning to the director’s chair for Creed IV during his presentation at Deadline’s Contenders Film: Los Angeles event.

Michael B. Jordan’s first appearance as Adonis was in the 2015 film “Creed,” and he later starred in the 2018 and 2023 trilogies. In the first two “Creed” movies, Sylvester Stallone played Rocky Balboa again, mentoring Adonis, the son of Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), his former rival.

As a first-time director, Michael B. Jordan caused quite a stir with Creed III, a picture that looked amazing, felt thrilling, and had the same magic as its predecessors. Jordan accomplished the feat of proving himself by taking on the dual responsibilities of leading the movie both behind and on screen. Fans are excited as he will return to spread more magic with Creed IV in the dual role.

Is Sylvester Stallone going to be in Creed IV?

“Creed III” did not feature any appearances from Sylvester Stallone. In an interview, the 76-year-old actor claimed that he did not take part in the film’s filming because the story had been given a direction he disagreed with. Regarding his disagreement with the tone of the new movie, Stallone told THR, “That’s a regrettable situation because I know what it could have been.”

Without realizing it, Sylvester Stallone stunned the world with Rocky in 1976, setting off the start of one of the most well-liked film sagas ever. The sports saga appeared to come to an end with Rocky Balboa (2006), the last of the original film’s five sequels. But in order to carry on the tradition, Mr. Stallone took on his most famous role once more in 2015, this time with Michael B. Jordan.

Sylvester Stallone, in 2022, was the first person to lash out at producer Irwin for “exploiting” the franchise he started back in 1976. Stallone wrote in a now-deleted Instagram post, that these ‘bloodsuckers’ referring to Irwin Winkler and people associated with him, were the people who destroyed people’s works, messed with their creations, and broke families in the process. The superstar went further on, how they used these movies and made tonnes of money, but ultimately ruined the franchise and the name of the movies.

Given his stance on the film’s continuation, it is extremely unlikely that Sylvester Stallone will appear in Creed 4.
