Loki Season 2

Tom Hiddleston’s “Loki” season 2 wrapped up its finale, with a lot of twists and turns. The show despite its time-traveling shenanigans and mind-numbing time theories stays true to its core of portraying Loki as a character with both good and bad tendencies, trying his best to do the right thing. The Disney+ show was massively successful during its first episode aired of season 2, amassing about 10.9 million views globally.

The last episode ‘Glorious Purpose’, is about the glorious spectacle of Loki saving the multiverse, and bringing things within his order. The episode shows how Loki breaks the time loom and takes matters into his own hands using his powers to take absolute control of the timelines and uses it to control it, ultimately saving all the other timelines in existence.

It shows him sitting on his throne all alone, watching his friends Mobius and Sylvie living their lives. And with that, the season ends keeping questions unanswered that might lead to a further continuation for Season 3.

Season 1 of Loki was about the revelation of the big boss behind the TVA that being “He Who Remains”(played by Jonathan Majors). Season 2 of Loki is about the consequences of the death of the “He Who Remains”, and his variants taking big steps on the fate of the multiverse.

The show directly remarked on Kang the Conquers from The Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, and hinted at the continuation of Loki’s and Kang’s clash in future movies or shows of the Multiverse Saga. The upcoming movies like “Avengers: Kang Dynasty” might be a direct continuation of Loki season 2 or might be during the running of Loki S2. This trend may last through the whole of Phase 5, leading to the story of timelines and variant war.

After the finale of the show, actor Tom Hiddleston expressed his feelings in an interview with ComicBook about how he feels about whether he is ready to end his role as the God of Mischief, “It’s so hard because I’ll be completely honest with you, I have at least twice in my life said goodbye,” the actor said. “I’ve written to Kevin Feige and Louis de Esposito and Victoria Alonso and been like, ‘Thank you so much. It’s been like the role of a lifetime,’ and they’ve written notes back saying, ‘Come and see us anytime. You’re always part of the family. We’re always here. You’ve given us so much’ and tears have been shared. So I think I’d be unwise at this point to be conclusive about any of it.”

The star even said about future reunions with actor Chris Hemsworth and their fictional characters sharing the screen again, “Thor might be expecting Loki to be a certain way. So I think initially it would be really confusing, but also they’d been apart for a long time and no doubt they’ve been objects in each other’s mind. And so yeah, I think I wonder what a reunion would likely be, we’ll see.”
