Celebrity skincare routines are popular among fans. Even if you think these celebrities only use high-end products, let me tell you, celebrities also use DIY skincare just like us. They love to use over-the-counter products on their faces. Some celebrities use spices such as turmeric, and others use fruits and vegetables.

Well, it sounds like a good meal to me. 

But is this facemask any good? Or just extra work for nothing?

The skincare specialist Hyram reacted to Kendall Jenner’s DIY facemask and said she had some specific ingredients that were highly irritating to the face. Lavender essential oil is not good for the skin because it can be highly irritating if you have sensitive skin. 

Hyram said that apart from the essential oil, other ingredients in Kendall Jenner’s DIY face mask are pretty good for the skin. Avocado and oatmeal soothe skin and keep it glowy. So if you want to use Kendall Jenner’s DIY facemask, then eliminate the essential oil.

2. Bella Throne’s DIY Face Scrubs

Bella Throne had shown her (horrifying) skincare routine on Harper’s Bazaar’s #GoToBedWithMe series. People are panicking after seeing that video. Among all the DIY celebrity skincare routines, Bella Throne’s routine was terrible.

She literally showed some ingredients that most dermatologists hate. In that video, Bella Throne, who struggled with cystic acne, shares her skincare secret: a homemade scrub of lemon, olive oil, and sugar. 

First of all, lemon is a big NO for skin; pure lemon juice will burn your sensitive skin. Lemon juice makes the skin more sensitive to sunlight, leading to sunburn-like rashes and inflammation.

Moreover, experts say that lemon juice’s acidic nature may cause peeling, dryness, stinging, and redness.

Bella Thorne wraps up her skincare routine with a homemade mask, showing a laid-back approach:

After scrubbing the delicate skin around her eyes, Bella Thorne creates a homemade mask using “coconut oil, honey, and cherries”. She mentions that she doesn’t follow precise measurements, usually eyeballing the ingredients.

As a finishing touch, she uses a cherry as a natural lip stain. Bella keeps it simple, mentioning that she doesn’t use additional moisturizers or any extravagant products.”

All of these ingredients are HORRIBLE for the skin, coconut oil clothes your pores, sugar does nothing, and lemon irritates the skin. So I recommend not using any of Bella Throne’s DIY skincare routine.

3. Jennifer Lopez’s Olive Oil Skincare

At the age of 51, Jennifer Lopez Boldly claims that she never had any Botox on her face. It’s all “natural,” and she uses olive oil to achieve that skin.

According to Lopez, her family’s tradition of using this Mediterranean culinary staple on their skin, body, and hair inspired her to create JLo Beauty, centered around a proprietary olive oil complex.

So is olive oil the secret behind JLo’s younger skin?

Olive oil boasts a wealth of beneficial components, including monounsaturated fatty acids, often referred to as healthy fats. It’s also abundant in essential vitamins such as A, D, E, and K. 

But olive oil is also not good for people who already have oily skin. It can clog your pores and make your acne even worse. Even if you have cystic acne, you should not use olive oil on your face.

According to experts, there is no scientific evidence that olive oil burns or traumatizes the skin. Which means olive oil is completely safe for the skin. But you cannot replace botox with olive oil.

So if you want moisturized skin, you can use olive oil, but do not expect to get results like Botox.

4. Kourtney Kardashian’s Manuka Honey Routine

The eldest Kardashian sister, Kourtney, is the ultimate vegan and gluten-free person. She eats clean, stays clean, and uses clean skincare products.

It can soothe sensitive skin and irritation as well. Experts say ice water brightens your complexion and lessens the appearance of pores.
